The Arizona Department of Health Services Offices of Border Health and Infectious Disease Services Tuberculosis Control, along with the Arizona Outreach Office of the United States-México Border Health Commission (BHC), would like to share the following report on tuberculosis cross-border issues entitled, Legal Forum: Cross-Jurisdictional Issues in Tuberculosis (TB) Control.

The report is the result of an extensive collaborative effort among U.S. Border State and Federal agencies and a day-long meeting held in Phoenix, Arizona, on October 3, 2007. The purpose of the forum was to promote an understanding of U.S. TB control laws and policies along the U.S. - México border and to discuss cross-jurisdictional legal issues in TB control.

The forum’s report may be of particular interest to border health partners and others in the United States – México border region.

The report was presented during the annual meeting of the U.S.-México Border Health Commission, held in McAllen, Texas in March 2008. To view the presentation, click here.
